This Old Thorns Manor Hotel wedding photography review is aimed at helping you understand Old Thorns manor Hotel from your wedding photographers perspective. There are other factors to consider such as size, cost and how it fits into the aesthetic you wish to create that are not covered here.

The Old Thorns Manor Hotel is a nice venue to host your wedding reception in. It’s a pleasant modern building with a ‘rustic’ feel having the comfort and features one would expect of a modern building, yet with plenty of character and charm. Its an interesting mix of old wooden beams, chrome and glass that somehow fuses a country feel with modern living.

The venue is very well maintained and while some venues often look a little shabby in places despite the overall grandeur Old Thorns appears to be in excellent condition throughout.

As one would expect with any venue containing it’s own golf course there are plenty of grounds although care must be taken if having photographs taken on or near the course to avoid being struck by a wayward golf ball.

The interior benefits from lots of natural light pouring in from the many large windows. This is a great benefit for wedding photography as well as just giving it a nice spacious feel.

Being a hotel it does offer guests the opportunity to stay very close to the wedding reception. That is a considerable benefit that the hotel type venues have over more traditional venues. With no need to drive guests are free to drink and enjoy the evening.

There isn’t really a lot more to say about Old Thorns, it strikes me as a pleasant, well maintained hotel in which to host a wedding reception. With current costing’s does represent reasonable value and is definitely worth consideration.
